Armenian businessmen awarded commemorative medals for stimulating economic growth

A group of Armenian businessmen were awarded today by prime minister Tigran Sargsyan commemorative medals in acknowledgment of their contribution to stimulating economic growth of the country in 2010.
YEREVAN, May 2. / ARKA /. A group of Armenian businessmen were awarded today by prime minister Tigran Sargsyan commemorative medals in acknowledgment of their contribution to stimulating economic growth of the country in 2010.
In connection with Labor Day and investments made in the Armenian economy in 2010, as well as for stimulating exports commemorative medals of the Prime Minister of Armenia were awarded to chief executives of seven companies - Karen Karapetian, general director of Armenian Molybdenum Production, Hovhannes Mkrtchian, director of Astra company, director of Saranist company Vartan Manukian, director of Liquor company Sergei Matevosian, general director of Armenmotor company Karlos Petrosian, general director of Arpimed Vachagan Ghazarian and chairman of Ararat food plant Sarkis Tarverdian.
The prime minister said over the last three years these men were able to efficiently organize the work of their enterprises, to withstand the challenges, implement innovative programs and cooperated with the government.
He said the programs they implemented over the past three years may serve as an example for others. On behalf of the government Tigran Sarkisian expressed gratitude to all heads of these companies for their personal contributions. He noted that the government made separate analyses of the situation in these enterprises, looked into their indicators and investments they made over the last three years.
"As a result, we can say that their figures are encouraging enough, giving us hope to see more improvements in economic performance in the coming years," Sarkisian said.
He thanked the businessmen for their confidence in government and its appeals to jointly promote export and substitute imports.
In turn, chairman of the Union of Armenian Industrialists and Entrepreneurs Arsen Ghazarian thanked the government and the Prime Minister for high appreciation of their work.
"We express our gratitude, and I want to note that of all these companies have promising programs, mostly aimed at increasing export," said Ghazarian.
Prime Minister Tigran Sarkisian awarded also today Director of ARKA News Agency, Konstantin Petrosov, Prime Minister’s Commemorative Medal in connection with Labor Day and on the occasion of the agency’s 15-year anniversary in recognition of its active participation in the comprehensive coverage of economic development issues. -0-
