Armenian-Russian mining company cjsc considers the opportunity of expansion of its activity by conducting geological exploration not only in uranium mines but other minerals.
YEREVAN, June 8. /ARKA/. Armenian-Russian mining company cjsc considers the opportunity of expansion of its activity by conducting geological exploration not only in uranium mines but other minerals, said Deputy Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Armenia Areg Galstyan to RIA Novosti in the international forum “Atomexpo-2011".
The company is established in September 2008 by the initiative of Armenia in the result of negotiations with Russian uranium holding “Atomredmetzoloto” which deals with the study of uranium mines in Armenia.
"The company will possible apply for getting license not only for uranium mining but other minerals if it will be commercially interesting for them”, he said.
“Armenian-Russian mining company” is established in September 2008 by the initiative of the Government of Armenia in the result of negotiations with Russian company “Atomredmetzoloto” for exploration of uranium mines in Armenia and discovering uranium supplies. Currently the company is conducting geophysical and geochemical field studies. The Russian side allocated 3 million dollars for exploration of uranium mines. -0-
