Vice-premier of Armenia: interstate cooperation between CIS countries in the sphere of geodesy, cartography and cadastre to be expanded

Interstate cooperation between CIS countries in the sphere of geodesy, cartography and cadastre will be expanded, said Armenian Vice-Premier, Minister of Territorial Administration Armen Gevorgyan.
YEREVAN, June 8. /ARKA/. Interstate cooperation between CIS countries in the sphere of geodesy, cartography and cadastre will be expanded, said Armenian Vice-Premier, Minister of Territorial Administration Armen Gevorgyan.
“It is conditioned by further intensive development of economic relations as on interstate level, as well as on the level of separate market participants in CIS territory”, he said during the 31st session of interstate council on geodesy, cartography, cadastre and distance zoning of the land of CIS countries.
Gevorgyan emphasized the necessity of closer interrelation in the sphere of real estate cadastre with the purpose of unification of cadastre data and creation of unified information resource on information and data exchange of the real estate subject.
Such a development can serve a pre-condition for strengthening cooperation in the sphere of real estate market, increase of investment attraction of real estate markets of CIS participant-countries.
“I am confident that there are large prospects of mutually beneficial cooperation and the necessity of further strengthening of relations between all organizations submitted in this session”, he said.
Head of State Real Estate cadastre Yervand Zakharyan said that taking into account modern rates of geodesy, cartography and distance zoning development of Earth, as well as regular investments of new information technologies, local development of these spheres is not practically possible.
“Achievements of modern science in the conditions of convergent world information society is not possible to limit by state borders”, he said.
The first post-soviet years were not favorable for geodesy and cartography in all the countries and the lack of proper financing and breakdown of the formed professional relations could not influence on the development of these spheres.
“However, we could maintain our professional potential in some way which has been accumulated with joint efforts in our countries during years”, said Zakharyan.
The Head of Federal Service of registration of cadastre and cartography of Russian federation (Rosreestr), Head of interstate council on geodesy, cartography and distance zoning of Earth of CIS countries Sergey Vasilyev clarified that the main goal of the given session is not only to carry put decisions for future, but to discuss the results of activities of the previous session which are summarized twice a year.
“The most important thing is to maintain the total space”, he said.
Representatives of authorized bodies of Armenia, Russia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Turkmenistan and Tajikistan participated in the activities of 31st session. The agenda of the session includes reports on geodesy and cartography of State Real Estate Cadastre of Armenia. The project of electronic database on renaming geographical names will also be presented at the session. --0--
