Cost of tickets for Yerevan-Batumi-Yerevan trains range from 31,240 to 8,830 drams

The South Caucasus Railways company operating Armenia’s railroads has announced the prices of tickets for passenger trains traveling between Armenian capital Yerevan and Batumi, a popular sea resort on the Black Sea coast of neighboring Georgia.
YEREVAN, June 13. / ARKA /. The South Caucasus Railways company operating Armenia’s railroads has announced the prices of tickets for passenger trains traveling between Armenian capital Yerevan and Batumi, a popular sea resort on the Black Sea coast of neighboring Georgia. The prices are effective for June and July 2011, the company’s press service told ARKA news agency.

The ‘Armenia’ trains will start running from Yerevan to Batumi and back to Yerevan daily from June 15 to October 1. On Tuesdays and Fridays an additional train will take Armenian holidaymakers to the Black Sea.

In June, the cost of tickets will range from 27,630 drams to 13,550 drams, depending on the type of cars. In July the prices will be ranging from 31,240 drams to 9,960 drams. Tickets for the trains are available at railway stations in Yerevan, Vanadzor, Gyumri and Armavir through the automated Orion ticketing system.

The South Caucasus Railways is run by Russian Railways. The concessional agreement was concluded in 2008 for 30 years, with a right of extension for another 20 years after the first 20 years of operation. ($ 1 - 376.3 drama).  -0-
