Yerevan and Saint Petersburg municipalities have signed an agreement for cooperation in trade, economic, science and humanitarian areas in 2011-2014
YEREVAN, July 9. /ARKA/. Yerevan and Saint Petersburg municipalities have signed an agreement for cooperation in trade, economic, science and humanitarian areas in 2011-2014, the Yerevan municipality’s press office quoted Karen Karapetyan as saying at a news conference in Saint Petersburg, where he traveled at the city mayor, Valentina Matvienko’s invitation.
He said that the city authorities arranged to make every effort to put what is said in the document into practice.
Matvienko, who spoke at the same news conference, stressed the necessity of expansion of this cooperation.
The cooperation implies implementation of investment programs. Exchange of experience in culture, education, sport and environment areas is on the agenda as well. In particular, round-table discussions are planned to be held as part of the program.
The cities’ authorities also concluded an agreement for building Yerevan Trade Center and Yerevan Hotel in Saint Petersburg and an agreement for constructing Saint Petersburg in Yerevan.-0---
