Government Allows Construction Of New Hotel In Downtown Yerevan

The Armenian government adopted on Thursday a decision to allow Yerevan municipality to allot a land plot in downtown Yerevan for the construction of a new hotel.
YEREVAN, August 18. / ARKA /. The Armenian government adopted on Thursday a decision to allow Yerevan municipality to allot a land plot in downtown Yerevan for the construction of a new hotel.

A deputy Yerevan mayor, Vano Vardanian, explained that the mayor is allowed to allot without conducting a tender 5.850 square meter land plot near Republic Square for the construction of a hotel in compliance with international standards.

The proposal to build an 8–storey hotel was designed in 2010 by architect Narek Sargsyan, now the chief architect of the country. The planned hotel (it must be at least four-star hotel) will have receptions and meetings rooms, gyms, game rooms, restaurants and cafes. -0-
