An international tender is already announced to choose an operator to handle Yerevan’s refuse collection, the Yerevan municipality’s press office reported on Monday.
YEREVAN, August 22. /ARKA/. An international tender is already announced to choose an operator to handle Yerevan’s refuse collection, the Yerevan municipality’s press office reported on Monday.
Karen Karapetyan, the city mayor, instructed heads of all the districts of Armenia’s capital to seal contracts with individuals and legal entities on garbage collection and to pay special attention to fees for garbage collection.
The mayor said that some condominiums, which are successfully collecting payments via banks, were chosen.
The city residents can track the usage of their money via a special website.
The mayor also instructed districts’ administrations to fasten about 8,000 posters on walls at entrances of apartment blocks. These posters will remind residents about condominiums’ rights and duties.
Cleanups were among Karapetyan’s instructions as well. -0-
