Scr Organizes Trips From Armenia To Georgia

Management of passenger transportation “South-Caucasian Railway” cjsc (SCR) jointly with Georgian tourism agency Elite Tour organizes two-day trips “Heart of Georgia” and “Wine tour”, press-service of SCR informs.
YEREVAN, September 22. /ARKA/. Management of passenger transportation “South-Caucasian Railway” cjsc (SCR) jointly with Georgian tourism agency Elite Tour organizes two-day trips “Heart of Georgia” and “Wine tour”, press-service of SCR informs.

Trips are scheduled for week-ends and working days. Everyone wishing to join the trips can go to Georgia on passenger train of SCR “Armenia”. The date of the start of the tours is not announced yet.

On the first day of the trip program “Heart of Georgia” Armenian tourists can learn about the main sightseeing of Tbilisi. In particular, the program includes visit to the old city, castle Narikal, church Metekhi, churches Sameba and Anchiskhati, synagogue, mosques and churches, bridge of Peace, state museum of Tbilisi near Turtle lake. Experienced guide will accompany the tourists who will tell them about the most interesting pages of Georgian history.

On the second day of the trip the tourists will visit the ancient capital of Georgia – the city Mtzkheta and the monasteries Svetitskhoveli, Jvari, Shio-Mgvime and women’s monastery Samtavro.

In the frames of the program ““Wine tour” the tourists will visit the centers of Georgian wine-making – Kahketi and Tsinandali. In Tsinandali the tourists will visit the museum of Aleksander Chavchavadze, wine cellar and famous collection of ancient wines of wine of Enoteca.

In Napareuli participants of the tour will visit the wine cellar of twin-brothers Gamtkitsulashvili. On the second day of the trip they will visit sightseeing of Mtskheta and Tbilisi.

During the trip to Tbilisi, upon their wish, the tourists can live in the train compartment wagon in the railway station Tbilisi-passenger.

CJSC “South-Caucasian Railway” is a 100% subsidiary of OJSC “Russian Railways” implementing concession management of CJSC “Armenian Railways” according to the Concession Agreement signed on February 13, 2008. Term of the concession is 30 years with the right of extension for another 10 years. –0—
