YEREVAN, October 14. / ARKA /. Representatives of agricultural entrepreneurship form Armenia and nine other countries have gathered in Yerevan for the first Pan-Armenian agricultural forum that opened today and will end October 16 being part of a series of various events marking Armenia’s 20th independence anniversary.

Overall some 1000 people representing the sector are taking part in the gathering, 700 of them are Armenian farmers and managers of processing enterprises. Forty people have arrived from Russia, Ukraine, Georgia, Lebanon, Iran, Poland, Latvia, USA and France. Nagorno-Karabakh has also sent a delegation.

Agricultural minister Sergo Karapetian said earlier the forum will provide an unprecedented opportunity to businessmen from Armenia, Diaspora and abroad to present their products, to get acquainted with Armenia's agriculture.

On 15 October the participants will take part in Harvest Festival in Ararat and meet with people from local processing enterprises and on October 16 North Avenue, in downtown Yerevan will host celebration of the Day of Agricultural Workers. -0-
