Armenia and Georgia develop an agreement on interstate cooperation in the sphere of transport and communications, said Armenian Transport and Communications Minister Manuk Vardanyan to the journalists.
YEREVAN, November 9. /ARKA/. Armenia and Georgia develop an agreement on interstate cooperation in the sphere of transport and communications, said Armenian Transport and Communications Minister Manuk Vardanyan to the journalists.

“We have discussed with our Georgian colleagues issues regarding cargo transportation, infrastructure, road construction, and customs tariffs”, said Vardanyan.

Armenia and Georgia had agreed on cooperation in a number of spheres, and transport and communications is a priority.

“Georgia has a good experience in road constriction which can be useful for us”, he said.

Georgian Economy and Stable development Minister Vera Kobelia said that cooperation between Armenia and Georgia will enable to solve a number of problems in this sphere.

“Friendly relations have been already established between our countries and such a cooperation will eliminate the obstacles for free trade, cargo transportation and introduce special customs system between Armenia and Georgia”, she said.

Kobelia said that details of cooperation and perspectives will be discussed in Tbilisi during the visit of Armenian delegation to Georgia.

Armenian Premier Tigran Sargsyan announced about Armenia’s intention to include the issue of establishment of united customs points in the agenda of the upcoming meeting of inter-governmental economic committee on November 17-18 in Tbilisi. –0-
