The construction of a new apartment block will be launched in Yerevan in late November as part of the Available Apartments for Young Families program, Arsen Karamyan, deputy sports and youth minister said Thursday at Novosti International Press Center.
YEREVAN, November 10. /ARKA/. The construction of a new apartment block will be launched in Yerevan in late November as part of the Available Apartments for Young Families program, Arsen Karamyan, deputy sports and youth minister said Thursday at Novosti International Press Center.
“In recent days, land was allocated in Avan (one of Yerevan’s districts) for construction of 360-apartment block,” he said. “The project is ready, and final lists of the beneficiaries chosen via a random draw will be released within two weeks.”
The deputy minister said that 580 young families have already received their apartments under this program.
He said this process would continue also in 2012.
Karamyan said that monthly income of AMD 230, 000 is considered as indicator of sufficient solvency for purchasing one- or two-room flat, but if loans are secured by parents, it will be taken into account.
On January 29, 2010, Armenian government approved AMD 3-billion program Available Apartments for Young Families.
Up to AMD 16 million is lent to each family at 8.8.5% annual interest rate. ($1 = $383.73). -0-
