Austria wants to intensify economic relations with Armenia: President

Austrian Federal President, Heinz Fischer, expressed satisfaction with the positive dynamics in the development of Armenian-Austrian relations after receiving the credentials from new Ambassador of Armenia to Austria, Arman Kirakosian.
YEREVAN, November 11. /ARKA/. Austrian Federal President, Heinz Fischer, expressed satisfaction with the positive dynamics in the development of Armenian-Austrian relations after receiving the credentials from new Ambassador of Armenia to Austria, Arman Kirakosian, the press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry said.

"Stressing the high level of political dialogue, the President of Austria stressed the importance of economic relations and the need to intensify them," the ministry said.

In turn, Ambassador Kirakosian said Armenia highly assesses the current level of friendly Armenian-Austrian relations and appreciates Austria’s balanced approach to the South Caucasus region.

Armenian diplomat also spoke of the Armenian-Austrian intergovernmental commission and co-operation established between the development agencies of both countries. The sides were said to have also discussed cooperation in international structures, as well as issues of security and stability in South Caucasus. -0-
