Armenian premier promises support for Philip Kotler center of excellence

Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan received today marketing guru Philip Kotler hailing the idea to open Philip Kotler Center of Excellence in Armenia promising his support to it, the press service of the government told ARKA.
YEREVAN, November 15. /ARKA/. Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan received today marketing guru Philip Kotler hailing the idea to open Philip Kotler Center of Excellence in Armenia promising his support to it, the press service of the government told ARKA.
The Prime Minister was said to have stressed the importance of Mr. Kotler’s visit to Yerevan, which he said will give a new push to development of marketing.
"One of our most important tasks today is to modernize the management system. In this context your lectures will have a positive impact on our work", the Prime Minister was quoted as saying.
For his part Kotler said Armenia has real prerequisites for the development of marketing. He said it is important that a correct policy be implemented.
The sides also discussed the strategy for the development of marketing in tourism, education and information technology.
The "Philip Kotler in Armenia: 11/11/11" project, initiated by the Armenian Marketing Association, aims to ensure the dynamic development of Armenia and the transition from extensive to thriving economy. It also aims to change perceptions about the role and importance of marketing in Armenia and help introduce new modern business rules with new marketing tools.
Philip Kotler arrived in Yerevan on Sunday to participate in the program. As part of "Philip Kotler in Armenia: 11/11/11" program the Kotler Impact Ltd plans to create Philip Kotler Center of Excellence in Armenia, which will be the only one in the region.
