Prime Minister of Georgia Nika Gilauri considers that the flight Yerevan-Batumi is beneficial for private companies.

YEREVAN, November 21. /ARKA/. Prime Minister of Georgia Nika Gilauri considers that the flight Yerevan-Batumi is beneficial for private companies.

“All airlines are private and they themselves decide the efficiency of any flight. I think that it should be very beneficial”, said Gilauri on Saturday in the joint press-conference with Armenian Premier Tigran Sargsyan after the meeting of intergovernmental commission.

Gilauri called Armenian and Georgian airlines to think over it. “We signed agreement around the “open air”. Therefore, any company can implement flights”, said Gilauri.

Speaking about joint programs in the sphere of border cooperation, Gilauri said that these programs are aimed at the provision of joint work of Armenian and Georgian check-points.

He noted that such a project has been implemented in Georgian-Turkish border and showed its efficiency.

“The time for the citizens crossing the border reduces twice. Instead of double crossing the border, they will pas it once. We want to implement this program also for Armenian-Georgian border as soon as possible”, he said. -0-
