Economic activity in Armenia rose 3.1% in Jan-Dec 2015, compared with the same period a year before, the National Statistical Service of Armenia reports.

YEREVAN, January 25. /ARKA/. Economic activity in Armenia rose 3.1% in Jan-Dec 2015, compared with the same period a year before, the National Statistical Service of Armenia reports.
Consumer prices showed a 3.7% year-on-year growth in Jan-Dec 2015, while prices for industrial products slid 0.8%.
Industrial products worth AMD 1 327.1 billion were released over the mentioned period showing a 5.2% year-on-year growth.
According to the statistical report, agriculture sector’s output amounted to over AMD 1 002.2 billion in Jan-Dec 2015 (11.7% year-on-year growth).
Construction grew 0.3% to AMD 457.2 billion and services 2.7% to AMD 1 188.9 billion, while domestic trade fell 8% to AMD 2 282.3 billion.
Armenia’s foreign trade turnover shrank 20.6% to about $4 740.9 million.
In the government budget for 2015, GDP growth is projected at 4.1%. ---0---
