The assets of Armenia’s investing companies in the third quarter of 2012 rose 1% from a quarter earlier to 22.9 billion drams.

YEREVAN, December 17. /ARKA/. The assets of Armenia’s investing companies in the third quarter of 2012 rose 1% from a quarter earlier to 22.9 billion drams.
According to the Armenian Central Bank bulletin, the total equity of the investing companies climbed 16.1% to 3.7 billion drams in the third quarter.
Sale/purchase securities deals at Armenia’s stock exchange advanced 7.5% from 2Q to 152.4 billion drams.
Corporate bonds deals slashed by 3% to 52 billion drams, and purchase/sale of the assets tumbled by 30.1% to 2 billion drams.
Government bonds deals rose 15.5% to 98.3 billion drams within the reported period making up 64.5% of the total deals in the third quarter. Corporate bonds deals accounted for 34.1%, and assets deals- 1.3%.
As of September 30, there were 21 commercial banks in Armenia and 9 investing companies. ($1 – 406.60 drams). -0-
