45.5 kg of Grand Candy ice cream recalled from stores after regulator checks
YEREVAN, June 11. /ARKA/. In compliance with the order of the Food Safety Inspectorate, the Grand Candy company has recalled 45.5 kg of ice cream from retail chains, the regulator's press service reported.
Recall that Grand Candy ice cream was found to be non-compliant with the bacteriological indicators of coliform bacteria and mesophilic aerobic facultative anaerobic bacteria.
The Food Safety Inspectorate of Armenia previously presented the results of inspections at the ice cream production market, according to which ice cream samples from 10 of the 12 inspected production facilities were found to be non-compliant with the standards established by legal acts for bacteriological indicators and the mass fraction of milk fat. Orders were issued to prohibit the sale, recall from the market, destroy or dispose of these products.
The regulator urged citizens to call the 118 hotline if they find the following batches of ice cream on sale:
