AMD 2.3bln was allocated for sport in Armenia in 2006, reported RA Minister for Sport and Youth Affairs Armen Grigorian during the sitting of the RA Parliamentary Standing Commission.

YEREVAN, September 5. /ARKA/. AMD 2.3bln was allocated for sport in Armenia in 2006, reported RA Minister for Sport and Youth Affairs Armen Grigorian during the sitting of the RA Parliamentary Standing Commission.

According to him, AMD 121.9mln was allocated for the State Sport Committee, AMD 1bln 9mln was allocated for sport events in Armenia.

AMD 1bln 30mln was allocated for “big” sports in the reporting period. AMD 65.7mln was spent on mass sports, Grigorian said.

He pointed out that the ministry cooperated with 24 sport federations in Armenia in 2006.

“Eight programs of mass sports were implemented in all the regions of Armenia in 2006, particularly, the Most Athletic Family, the football championship “Cup of Hope” and the national sports championship,” the Minister said.
 
The RA Parliament adopted on November 11, 2005 the law “On the State Budget in 2006”. Its revenues totaled AMD 412bln 356mln, expenditures being AMD 482bln 193mln. The budget deficit totaled AMD 69.8bln.–0--
