Presentation of Intelligent Business Reading, the 2007 business report issued by Grant Thornton International, was held Wednesday in Yerevan.
YEREVAN, October 10. /ARKA/. Presentation of Intelligent Business Reading, the 2007 business report issued by Grant Thornton International, was held Wednesday in Yerevan.

Gutgen Hakobyan, a shareholder of Grant Thornton Amio audit and consulting company, said at the presentation ceremony that the report considers expectations and forecasts of more than 7,200 entrepreneurs from 32 countries, which ensure 81% of world GDP.

He said that Armenia is included in the report for the first time in 15 years.
Economic forecasts of 100 Armenian entrepreneurs are reflected in this report.
Hakobyan said that this report make it possible to present the country’s economic indicators on international arena.

He thinks the report will form favorable image of Armenia and enhance the country’s attractiveness for potential investors.

“Besides, the analysis of economic situation in Armenia will make its possible to see faults and attract responsible people’s attention to them”, he said.

Hakobyan expressed hope that Armenia companies will be involved in the report also in the future.

Intelligent Business Reading is focused on business prospects, economic cooperation with quickly developing countries (Brazil, Russia, India and China), quick economic growth indicator, women at leading positions and environment protection.

The survey in Armenia was conducted by Progressive Social Technologies sociological organizations with Grant Thornton Amio’s support.

For each filled questionnaire, Grant Thornton International transferred $5 to UNICEF.
Armenian entrepreneurs were surveyed in late 2006.

Grant Thornton launched its activities in Armenia yet in 1991.

In 1994, French Grant Thornton opened a branch in Armenia.

Later, the branch was reorganized into audit and consulting company - Grant Thornton Amio.
