Armenia’s economic activity indicator rose 6.4% in Jan-May 2017, compared with the same period a year before, the press office of the National Statistical Service reports.

YEREVAN, June 20. /ARKA/. Armenia’s economic activity indicator rose 6.4% in Jan-May 2017, compared with the same period a year before, the press office of the National Statistical Service reports.
The economic activity growth was ensured by industry, trade and services. The country’s industrial output grew 14.4% to AMD 625 billion, domestic trade turnover 12.8% to AMD 894.4 billion and services totaled AMD 524.6 billion showing an 11-percent year-on-year growth.
Instead, construction faced a 12.1-percent decline (AMD 78.5 billion) and gross agriculture product shrank 3.5% to 176.6 billion.
Armenia recorded a 0.4% year-on-year inflation in Jan-May 2017.
The country’s foreign trade reached $2 286.2 million showing a 23.1% year-on-year growth.
In the 2017 government budget, economic growth is projected at 3.2%. ($1 – AMD 481.08). --0-----
