YEREVAN, November 16. /ARKA/. Member of the parliament group of “Prospering Armenia” party Vardan Bostanjian believes Armenia may become an exporter of labor force.
According to Bostanjian, the large volume of money transfers to Armenia is the result of a great number of labor migrants outside the country. The flow of labor migrants may also increase, the MP said.
In the first nine months of this year $900.8mln non-commercial money was sent to persons through the banking system of Armenia.
In his speech on September 21 the first president of Armenia Levon Ter-Petrosian said that if Armenia does not open up itself to meet the outside world, it will become a third-world country with export of labor force being its only capital.
