YEREVAN, February 25. /ARKA/. European Bank for Reconstruction and Development corrects Armenia’s economic growth indicator for 2007.
EBRD Yerevan office says in the press release sent Monday to Novosti-Armenia News Agency that the bank voices regret at the inaccuracy made in its report – 8.5% GDP growth was mentioned instead of 13.8%.
According to the press release given to media outlets on Monday, during the EBRD report presentation in Yerevan, expected real GDP growth is 8.5% in 2007 against 13.4% in 2006.
Official figures show that 13.7% economic growth was recorded in Armenia in 2007, compared with 2006.
GDP totaled 3139353.9 million (in current prices) in 2007.
GDP index deflator was recorded at 103.9% and per-capita GDP $2844 in 2007.
Ten-percent economic growth is planned for 2008.-0---
