About 9,175 people died in Armenia in 4 months, an increase of 0.6%
YEREVAN, June 5. /ARKA/. In January-April 2025, 9,175 people died in Armenia, which is 0.6% more than the figure for the same period in 2024. This is evidenced by data published by the National Statistical Committee of Armenia.
More than half of the people (52.7% or 4,837 people) died due to diseases of the circulatory system, this figure is 4% less than for the same period in 2024.
Neoplasms are the second leading cause of death (17.8% or 1,633 people, a decrease of 4%).
Other causes of death also included respiratory diseases (11.1% or 1,018 people, an increase of 10.8%), diseases of the digestive system (5.2% or 474 people, a decrease of 2.9%), external causes of morbidity and mortality (2.9% or 269 people, a decrease of 13.2%), diseases of the endocrine system (2.2% or 199 people, an increase of 19.2%), and infectious diseases (1.1% or 105 people, an increase of 66.7%).
