About 80% of motor vehicles in Armenia are fueled by gas because it is far cheaper than petrol, according to Hayots Ashkhar (Armenian World).

YEREVAN, February 25. /ARKA/. About 80% of motor vehicles in Armenia are fueled by gas because it is far cheaper than petrol, according to Hayots Ashkhar (Armenian World).

Gas consumption at motorway filling stations grew by 53 million cubic meters over the last three years from 418 million cubic meters in 2012 to 471 million cubic meters in 2014.

It makes up 25% of natural gas consumption in the country. Some 172,000 vehicles were brought to Armenia over the last five years.

It means their number grew by one third as import of liquid fuel, mostly petrol, shrank by more than 54,000 tons. ---0-----
