YEREVAN, November 30. /ARKA/. The Armenian government and the French Development Agency (AFD) signed a 40 million euro budget support loan agreement. The agreement was signed by Armenian minister of finance Vardan Aramyan, AFD deputy director Jean-Claude Pires and French ambassador to Armenia, Jean-François Charpentier.

The objective of the budgetary assistance is to stimulate government's reforms in fiscal, social, environmental stability sectors and to strengthen competitiveness.

This loan facility, as opposed to targeted programs, allows funding important budget expenditure items. -0-
