YEREVAN, December 12. /ARKA/. Armenian-Chinese trade and economic relations were discussed by Armenian Deputy Minister of Economy Tatevik Sargsyan and the delegation of China's Ministry of Commerce at a meeting held yesterday at the Armenian Ministry of Economy.

Expanding cooperation in the agro-sector and investments, considering untapped potential, were also discussed, according to the press service of the Armenian Ministry of Economy.

The interlocutors also discussed the agenda for the upcoming meeting of the intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation between Armenia and China, as well as Armenia's participation in the 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE) November 5-10, 2024, in Shanghai.

According to the National Statistical Committee of Armenia, in January-October 2024, Armenia's trade turnover with China exceeded $2.33 billion, marking a 35.5% increase compared to the same period in 2023. Exports from Armenia to China rose 2.8 times, reaching $988.5 million, while Chinese imports to Armenia decreased by 2.1%, totaling nearly $1.38 billion.-0-
