All the segments of Armenia’s economy contributed to the country’s 3.1% economic growth in 2015, Armenian Economy Minister Karen Chshmarityan said Wednesday presenting the 2015 activity report at a Cabinet session.

YEREVAN, February 18. /ARKA/. All the segments of Armenia’s economy contributed to the country’s 3.1% economic growth in 2015, Armenian Economy Minister Karen Chshmarityan said Wednesday presenting the 2015 activity report at a Cabinet session.
He said that 2015 was a year with many challenges, but even amid difficulties the country industry’s output amounted to AMD 1.3 trillion showing a 5.2% growth, compared with the previous year.
In his words, the industrial growth was ensured by opening of new enterprises in mining and medical equipment industries as well as greenhouses, breweries etc.
The minister also said that foreign investments in Armenia’s real sector in Jan-Sept 2015 totaled $297 million, and this amount is $80 million more than that of the same period a year before.
He stressed that despite pessimistic outlooks of many international organizations, Armenia’s economy showed a 3.5% year-on-year economic growth in Jan-Sept 2015. ($1 – AMD 495.19). ---0---
