Ambassador: Swiss business community getting increasingly interested in Armenia
YEREVAN, March 22. /ARKA/. Swiss Ambassador to Armenia Stefano Lazaretto told today Armenian Minister of Economic Development and Investments Tigran Khachatryan that the business community of his country is getting increasingly interested in Armenia.

The ambassador was quoted by the ministry’s press office as describing the Armenian government’s new plan of actions as ‘promising and inspiring.’

He said due to the recent changes that have taken place in Armenia- such as the fight against corruption and an open economic environment, Swiss business circles are asking him whether it is time to start businesses in Armenia.

The ambassador said his answer is positive. The ambassador highlighted also the importance of individual and transparent work with all potential and current investors.

Werner Tut, the Deputy Regional Director of the Program for Cooperation and Development of Switzerland, who was present at the meeting, expressed his enthusiasm for cooperation with Armenia in a number of areas.

He presented to the Minister the activities of the program in Armenia, in particular, highlighting the projects in the agriculture and the territorial administration sectors.

The two men were said to have discussed also the inclusiveness of economic growth, as well as economic development of territories. --0--
