Armenia and Kazakhstan Discuss Development of Economic Cooperation

YEREVAN, May 30. /ARKA/. Armenian Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan discussed with Kazakhstan's Minister of Trade and Integration Arman Shakkaliyev issues of deepening cooperation in the fields of pharmaceuticals, export of precious stones and metals within the framework of the Astana International Forum.

Papoyan stressed the importance of expanding economic cooperation between the two countries and increasing trade turnover, the press service of the Armenian Economy Ministry reported.
According to him, Armenia views Kazakhstan as a reliable and promising partner in the region.

"We are convinced that the development of trade and economic cooperation between our countries can make a significant contribution to strengthening stability and prosperity throughout the Eurasian space," Papoyan noted.

Touching on bilateral cooperation in agriculture, the head of the Economy Ministry noted Armenia's interest in increasing the export of products of the Armenian agro-industrial complex, as well as in importing high-quality breeding cattle from Kazakhstan.

Papoyan presented the favorable investment and business climate of Armenia, as well as the government's project "Crossroads of Peace’’, within the framework of which Armenia can be considered as a platform for sustainable cooperation, logistics, trade and humanitarian partnership, uniting East and West, North and South.
