YEREVAN, December 17. /ARKA/. Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met on Tuesday with Anwar Gargash, the diplomatic adviser to the President of the United Arab Emirates, according to the press service of the Foreign Ministry.

Mirzoyan with his counterpart discussed the bilateral political agenda between Armenia and the UAE, highlighting the positive dynamics of their relations, the achieved results, and the willingness to expand cooperation in areas of mutual interest. They emphasized additional opportunities for strengthening ties in trade, tourism, technology, and infrastructure. Mirzoyan stressed the need for continued active efforts to achieve more significant outcomes, given the mutual interest, political will, and mutually beneficial prospects.

In the context of attracting investment, the importance of periodically holding reciprocal visits and forums involving business circles was emphasized.

Mirzoyan and Gargash exchanged views on regional issues. The head of Armenia's Foreign Ministry presented Armenia's vision for establishing stability and peace in the South Caucasus, including the opportunities created by the opening of regional communications.

The interlocutors also discussed the latest developments in the Middle East.

The head of Armenia's Foreign Ministry congratulated the UAE presidential adviser on being awarded the Armenian order of “Friendship”.

According to official statistics, Armenia's foreign trade turnover with the UAE for the first 10 months of this year reached $4.9 billion, reflecting a 5.6-fold increase.
