YEREVAN, November 28. /ARKA/. Armenia has extended the ban on grain exports outside the EAEU for six months - from January 4 to July 4, 2024. The decision was made at a government meeting on Thursday.

The ban applies to wheat, barley, corn, buckwheat, as well as sunflower seeds and sunflower oil, in addition to grains.
This decision, as stated in the justification, is aimed at ensuring food security and economic stability.
It is also noted that the production volumes of the aforementioned goods do not meet the needs of the domestic market. The deficit is covered by imports.
