Armenia names 5 goods groups accounting for over 67% of exports in 9 months

The Ministry of Economy of Armenia has identified the five main groups of goods that made up the bulk of the country's exports in January-September 2024, compared to the same period last year.
YEREVAN, 22 November. /ARKA/. The Armenian Ministry of Economy named five main groups of goods that made up the bulk of Armenia's exports for January-September 2024, compared to the figures for the same period last year.
- Unprocessed or semi-processed gold, powder: US$4,935.5 million (up 13 times)
- Jewellery: US$775.9 million (up 10.3 times)
- Telephone and telegraph equipment: US$509.0 million (up 29.6%)
- Diamond stone: US$456.1 million (up 4.3%)
- Copper ore, concentrate: US$417.4 million (up 15.1%)
‘In January-September 2024, the above five types of goods together accounted for 67.4% of total exports, while only the unprocessed or semi-processed gold, powder group accounted for 46.9% of total exports,’ according to the report of the Ministry of Economy ‘Armenia: Economic Prospects. January-September 2024’.
According to official statistics, exports from Armenia for the first nine months of 2024 compared to January-September 2023 increased 2.1 times, totalling about $10.6 billion.-0-
