YEREVAN, August 18. /ARKA/. Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan and Iranian Vice President and co-chairman of the Armenian-Iranian Intergovernmental Commission Seyed Hamid Pourmohammadi discussed issues related to bilateral relations between Armenia and Iran, as well as regional developments.

They emphasized the importance of unblocking regional communications while respecting the principles of territorial integrity, sovereignty, jurisdiction, and reciprocity, the Armenian government reported.

Grigoryan confirmed Armenia's readiness to strengthen ties with Iran, highlighting the significant potential for growth in trade and economic sectors. They agreed to organize discussions on important issues in working group formats to resolve them more effectively and constructively.

According to the latest data from Armstat, Armenian-Iranian trade turnover increased by 6% in the first half of 2025, reaching $342.5 million. Exports from Armenia amounted to $45.5 million, marking a 14% year-over-year decline, while imports from Iran increased by 10.1% to $300.6 million.0-
