Armenia received about 2,000 tons of humanitarian aid worth $17 million in first half of year
YEREVAN, August 7: /ARKA/. From January to June of 2025, Armenia received 1,979.2 tons of humanitarian aid, valued at 6.721 billion drams (approximately 17.098 million USD). This information was reported by the National Statistical Committee.
During the same period last year, Armenia received 942.5 tons of humanitarian aid, valued at 27.1 billion drams ($68.3 million).
The top three countries that provided humanitarian aid to Armenia during this period were the United States ($4,564.4 thousand, a 26.7% share, and an 88.9% decline compared to January–June 2024), China ($2,528.5 thousand, a 14.8% share, and a 2.6-fold increase), and Germany ($1,616.4 thousand, a 9.5% share, and a 79.6% decline).
Armenia received the most non-precious metals and products made from them as humanitarian aid (1,049.8 tons, valued at $993,000). Second place goes to plastics and plastic products, rubber and rubber products (345 tons worth $488.9 thousand), and third place goes to various industrial goods (167.5 tons worth $617.8 thousand).-0-
