Armenia Recovers 20 Billion Drams in Criminal Case Damages in H1 2025 – Investigative Committee

In the first half of 2025, 20 billion drams in property damages in completed and unfinished criminal proceedings were recovered in Armenia, the press service of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia reported.

YEREVAN, July 25. /ARKA/. In the first half of 2025, 20 billion drams in property damages in completed and unfinished criminal proceedings were recovered in Armenia, the press service of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia reported.

“During the reporting period, 18,969 out of 56,814 criminal proceedings were completed, which is 1,082 more than 17,887 cases in the same period last year,” the report says.

Of the 18,969 criminal proceedings, 6,111 were sent to court with an indictment against 6,547 persons, which is 984 more than 5,127 cases last year. And 12,858 proceedings were terminated, compared to 12,760 last year, that is, 98 more.

In completed criminal cases during the reporting period, property damage in the amount of 4 billion 372 million 675 thousand drams was compensated. In order to compensate for the damage, property worth 509 million 997 thousand drams was seized.

In unfinished criminal proceedings, damage in the amount of 16 billion 94 million 601 thousand drams was compensated for in the first half of 2025 alone.
