From January to June of 2025, Armenia generated 4,694.7 million kWh of electricity, which is 4% more than in the same period of 2024, according to the National Statistical Committee.

YEREVAN, August 7. /ARKA/. From January to June of 2025, Armenia generated 4,694.7 million kWh of electricity, which is 4% more than in the same period of 2024, according to the National Statistical Committee.

Thermal power plants generated the largest share of electricity at 30.2%, with a volume of 1,415.8 million kWh, which is a 10.5% decline.

Hydroelectric power plants accounted for 27.7% with a generation volume of 1,301.8 million kWh (a growth of 19%), while the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant accounted for 26.3% with a generation volume of 1,233.4 million kWh (a decline of 11.7%).

Solar power plants produced 743.3 million kWh of electricity in the first half of the year, a 69.8% increase, and accounted for 15.8% of the total. Wind power plants produced 0.4 million kWh, a 46.1% decline, and accounted for 0.02%.

Since 2023, volumes of electricity produced by autonomous energy producers have also been included in electricity production volumes.-0-
