Armenia's foreign trade turnover in January 2024 decreased by 40% to $2.1 billion

YEREVAN, February 25. /ARKA/. According to preliminary statistics, Armenia's foreign trade turnover in January 2025 amounted to $1,377.3 million, which is 40% lower than the figure for January 2024, reports the National Statistical Committee.
Meanwhile, compared to December of the previous year, this figure decreased by 27.1%. In January 2025, the volume of foreign trade turnover in dram equivalent amounted to 548.1 billion drams.
Exports from Armenia in January 2025, compared to the same month in 2024, decreased by 49.2%, amounting to $482.2 million. Month-on-month, compared to December, exports declined by 36.3%. In dram equivalent, exports in January 2025 totaled 192.0 billion drams.
Imports during the reporting period amounted to $895.1 million, reflecting a decrease of 33.5% compared to January 2024. Compared to December, imports decreased by 20.9%. In dram equivalent, imports in January amounted to 356.1 billion drams. (Exchange rate: $1 = 393.9 drams).
