Armenia's foreign trade turnover in January-February slashed by 52% to $2.8 bln
YEREVAN, March 25. /ARKA/. Armenia's foreign trade in the first two months of 2025 amounted to $2,785.8 million, which is 52% lower than in January-February 2024, the National Statistical Committee reported.
In February of the current year compared to February of the last year this indicator was down 61%, and compared to January of the same year y 3.4%.
In AMD equivalent the foreign trade turnover in January and February 2025 amounted to 1,105.9 billion.
Exports from Armenia in January-February 2025 compared to the same period of 2024 slashed by 59.7% to $1,041.0 mln. A 67.7% decline was recorded in February compared to February last year, while there was a 2.9% growth compared to January this year. In AMD equivalent, exports in January-February 2025 amounted to 413.2 billion.
Imports totaled $1,744.8 million, recording a 45.8% decline compared to the same period in 2024. In February, imports decreased by 55.2% year-on-year and by 0.8% month-on-month. In AMD equivalent, imports totaled AMD 692.7 bln. ($1 - AMD 391.83). -0-
