YEREVAN, August 20. /ARKA/. The National Statistical Committee disclosed that Armenia's GDP in Q2 2025 saw a 5.9% increase when compared to the same quarter in 2024.

In nominal terms, the GDP at current prices reached 2,397,624.6 million drams by the conclusion of the reporting period. The GDP per capita at market prices was recorded at 817,783 drams, equivalent to 2,112 dollars and 1,863 euros.

The sectors that exhibited the most significant growth in the past quarter relative to the same quarter in 2024 included construction at 24.4%, information and communication at 20.3%, and professional, scientific, and technical activities at 15.5% each.

Additionally, double-digit growth rates were noted in two sectors: electricity, gas, steam, and high-quality air supply at 12.3%, and mining and open-pit mining at 11.8%. Financial and insurance activities increased by 7.5%, while administration and related activities rose by 5.6%.

Agriculture, forestry, and fisheries grew by 5.4%, and accommodation and catering saw a rise of 4.9%. Public administration and protection, along with compulsory social security, increased by 4.7%, and healthcare and social services to the population grew by 4.2%. Water supply and sanitation, waste management, and recycling increased by 3.4%, while wholesale and retail trade, as well as car and motorcycle repair, grew by 3.1%. Real estate activities saw a modest increase of 0.9%. The growth in other service sectors was recorded at 2.7%.

Conversely, a decline was observed in the transportation and warehousing sectors at 14.1%, as well as in manufacturing and culture, entertainment, and recreation at 2.4% each, and education at 0.9%. The economic growth forecast for Armenia in the state budget for 2025 is set at 5.1%, with inflation projected at 3% (±1.5%).

Preliminary statistics indicate that economic activity in Armenia during the first half of 2025 grew by 6.3% compared to January-June 2024. Inflation in July was recorded at 3.4% year-on-year.-0-
