Armenia's investment landscape in 2026 will hinge on interest rates, geopolitical factors, and associated risks, according to expert insights
YEREVAN, December 16. /ARKA/. The investment landscape in Armenia for 2026 will be influenced by both local and international interest rates, geopolitical dynamics, and various risks, stated Hovak Hovakimyan, Director of Freedom Broker Armenia.
"If the environment remains stable, we can expect considerable growth in our businesses and in Armenia overall, leading to economic expansion," he remarked during an interview with ARKA.
Hovakimyan emphasizes that attracting foreign investment is crucial.
"Armenia is increasingly appealing to foreign investors. It is essential for everyone to contribute to this effort. The country cannot progress without foreign capital. We must develop compelling products and foster attractive domestic opportunities to entice foreign investors to consider Armenia, and we need to cultivate this investment atmosphere within the nation. The trend is moving in a positive direction," he stressed.
However, the expert also pointed out that numerous challenges persist.
"We aspire for the diaspora to discover investment opportunities in Armenia, ensuring that their contributions go beyond mere charity. We need to present them with investment projects, including those with social impact, even if they yield lower returns. This approach could help us draw in significantly more capital than we currently do," he explained.
Highlighting that Armenia's progress is contingent upon digitalization, the director of Freedom Broker Armenia noted that the infrastructure of companies must evolve to accommodate digital assets.
"There is a trend emerging, but we are only 10% of the way there. Competing on a global scale is impossible if we continue to operate under the regulations of the 1990s," Hovakimyan concluded.
