Armenia's service sector grew by 9.9% in January-September 2025, reaching 2.9 trillion drams
YEREVAN, November 10. /ARKA/. Armenia's service sector for the period of January to September 2025 grew to 2,949,405.1 million drams (at current prices), reflecting a growth of 9.9% in comparison to the same period in 2024, as reported by the Statistical Committee.
In September 2025, this figure was recorded at 352,916.8 million drams, indicating a 7.9% increase relative to September of the previous year, although a 2% decrease was noted when compared to August of the same year.
Within the overall composition of the services sector, the financial and insurance activities represent the largest portion, accounting for 32.1%. The volume of this segment for the first three quarters of the current year was 945,713.4 million drams, which is a 13.8% increase compared to the first three quarters of the previous year.
The information and communication sector holds a share of 20.5% (with a volume of 604,229.3 million drams, reflecting an 18.4% increase), while the transport sector accounts for 11.4% (with a volume of 337,205.6 million drams, showing a decrease of 2.8%).
The accommodation and public catering sector represents 9.2% (with a volume of 272,143.1 million drams, indicating a 4.5% increase), and the culture, entertainment, and recreation sector comprises 7.9% (with a volume of 232,396.0 million drams, reflecting a 2.7% increase). Professional, scientific, and technical activities, along with healthcare and social security, each accounted for 4.5% (with volumes of 132,881.8 million drams, showing an 8.4% increase, and 130,915.8 million drams, reflecting a 9.7% increase, respectively).
The real estate activities share was 3.6% (with a volume of 107,107.2 million drams, indicating an 11.2% increase), while administrative and support activities accounted for 3.3% (with a volume of 98,103.8 million drams, reflecting an 11.8% increase), and education represented 2.2% (with a volume of 64,918.0 million drams, showing a 1.9% increase).
