YEREVAN, April 18. /ARKA/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, speaking at a business conference titled “Enhancing the Competitiveness of Armenia's Economy by Improving Policy and Governance,” said that this forum is dedicated to how the government and the private sector serve Armenia's state interests, recognizing that they lie in economic development.

“Every time I say this with more conviction, because economic development and its consequences should enable or constrain us in setting and solving long-term objectives,” he said.

In this context, Pashinyan said that after this conference it is important for him to understand what atmosphere reigns in the business environment, what problems exist, which ones no longer exist, what new problems have emerged and which ones are close to being solved.
“I would like a calm, meaningful discussion to take place today, so that we create a platform for the government and our colleagues from the legislature and other structures to formulate a program of further actions and work on it, so that both the government and the business community understand that there is a unified roadmap to serve the state interests,” he said.

Prime Minister expressed hope that the discussion will be held within this logic, and based on its results a concrete vision of further actions will be formed, “and we will understand to what extent and how state programs are perceived by the business community.” -0-
