YEREVAN, January 21. /ARKA/. Armenia's tax-to-GDP ratio in 2025 is expected to make 24.5%, close to the 25% target, Finance Minister Vahe Hovhannisyan announced.

He noted that the tax-to-GDP ratio has improved, exceeding the 2025 budget target.

"We planned to improve this indicator by 0.5 percentage points annually. In all likelihood, in 2025, compared to 2024, it will be 1 percentage point," Hovhannisyan said at a press conference on Wednesday.

He added that this is important because tax collection has created a favorable environment for meeting spending obligations.

According to the State Revenue Committee, tax revenues and customs duties in Armenia in 2025 totaled 2.72 trillion drams, exceeding the 2024 figure by more than 334.3 billion drams, or 14%, and the figure established by the 2025 state budget law by 0.2%.
