Armenia will control cargo passing through the territory of the Republic of Armenia from Azerbaijan - head of the State Revenue Committee

YEREVAN, June 9. /ARKA/. Armenia will control cargo passing through Armenia from Azerbaijan, said the head of the State Revenue Committee Eduard Hakobyan.
"If we are talking about lifting the blockade, opening the borders, then we just need to be prepared for these scenarios. We have the appropriate equipment, the Margara checkpoint, for example, as well as tools that will allow us to adapt to any scenario and carry out customs activities," Hakobyan told reporters on Monday.
Earlier, a special unit was created within the National Security Service of Armenia, which will be engaged in ensuring the safety of the passage of goods, vehicles, and people along international communications passing through Armenia.
On the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan
On March 13, the Armenian Foreign Ministry confirmed the fact of agreeing on the draft Treaty "On the Establishment of Peace and Interstate Relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan" and the completion of negotiations on its agreement. The Armenian side stated that the document is ready for signing and that Yerevan is ready to begin consultations with Baku on the timing and place of its signing.
According to Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, the current content of the draft peace treaty with Azerbaijan can be considered the option of mutual concessions that is acceptable to Armenia. He noted that the two points of the draft treaty, on which the parties could not reach an agreement for some time, but came to a compromise, concern the non-deployment of third-country forces along the entire length of the Armenia-Azerbaijan border, as well as the mutual withdrawal of claims filed against each other in international courts and the non-implementation of actions against each other. The President of Azerbaijan also pointed out these two disagreements earlier.
As a precondition for signing a peace treaty, Baku put forward a number of new demands to Yerevan, including reforming the Armenian Constitution and dissolving the OSCE Minsk Group.
