Armenia and France sign roadmap for economic cooperation for 2021-2026

YEREVAN, Dec. 10. /ARKA/. The first joint session of the Armenian-French economic cooperation working group was held in Paris on Thursday as part of Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan’s visit to Paris, the Armenian Foreign Ministry said.
It said the French delegation was headed by Jean-Baptiste Lemoine, State Secretary at the French Foreign Ministry.
The Armenian delegation comprises deputy ministers of territorial administration and infrastructure, economy, finance, high-tech industry and other officials.
Mirzoyan stressed the need to work purposefully on the implementation of the agreements reached between the leadership of the two countries to enhance the economic relations between the two countries, and to make them correspond to the level of privileged relations between Armenia and France.
During the discussions, the sides stressed the importance of diversification of the Armenian-French trade and economic relations, the necessity of enriching the cooperation with new economic projects and activation of mutual investments.
The interlocutors also stressed the necessity of activating the contacts between the business circles of France and Armenia, particularly through mutual visits of delegations and organization of economic events.
In the frames of the session, Mirzoyan and Lemoine signed the Roadmap for the Armenian-French Economic Cooperation for 2021-2026. The main purpose of the document is to create a strategy and framework for bilateral economic cooperation between Armenia and France for five years, including such areas as infrastructure, urban development, energy, agriculture, tourism, innovations and high technologies, healthcare and other areas. -0-
