Armenia and Lebanon will set up an investment fund, Armenian prime minister Karen Karapetyan told a Cabinet session today, when speaking about the outcome of his official visit to Lebanon earlier this week.
YEREVAN, March 15. /ARKA/. Armenia and Lebanon will set up an investment fund, Armenian prime minister Karen Karapetyan told a Cabinet session today, when speaking about the outcome of his official visit to Lebanon earlier this week.
He then instructed several government agencies to deal with that issue. He said during the visit he had a number of meetings with senior Lebanese official, as well as with businessmen, bankers and representatives of the local Armenian community. As a result agreements were reached, including in the field of trade and economic cooperation, he said.
He instructed a number of ministries and the Executive Director of the Development Foundation of Armenia to take measures to implement the agreements reached during the visit. He also gave the government agencies one month to submit proposals on how to intensify the work of the Armenian-Lebanese intergovernmental joint commission.
The prime minister also noted the need to clearly formulate and determine the dates of mutual visits of businessmen with whom agreements were reached. -0-
