YEREVAN, May 16. /ARKA/. The cooperation between Armenia and the European Union has a significant potential for development and both sides should direct their efforts towards its implementation, Valdis Dombrovskis, Executive Vice President of the European Commission for Economic Affairs and EU Commissioner for Trade, said ay a meeting with Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan.

The interlocutors discussed a set of issues related to financial-economic, energy, infrastructure, capital market and other sectors, the presidential press service reports.

They also touched upon the implementation of a number of large joint projects, as well as exchanged views on the possibilities of developing green and alternative energy in Armenia.

The sides also touched upon the steps taken towards the diversification of Armenia's economy and the elimination of obstacles on that path. -0-
