Armenia participates in annual investment meeting in Dubai

With the assistance of the Armenian ministry of economy, the Armenian embassy in the UAE and the Armenian Development Agency (ADA) representatives of a dozen private Armenian companies participated in the Third Annual Investment Meeting, Dubai-2013, held April 30 - May 2 in Dubai, the Armenian foreign ministry said.

YEREVAN, May 6. /ARKA/. With the assistance of the Armenian ministry of economy, the Armenian embassy in the UAE and the Armenian Development Agency (ADA) representatives of a dozen private Armenian companies participated in the Third Annual Investment Meeting, Dubai-2013, held April 30 - May 2 in Dubai, the Armenian foreign ministry said.
In Dubai the head of the Armenian delegation, deputy minister of economy Tigran Harutyunyan had a meeting with UAE minister of economy Sultan bin Saeed al-Mansur to discuss a string of issues related to bilateral trade and economic relations, in particular, the possibility of increasing the export of Armenian products to the UAE.
The Armenian companies showcased their products at an exhibition operating on the sidelines of the gathering. On May 2 deputy minister of development and international cooperation of the UAE, Abdullah al-Salehi, attended the Armenian pavilion’s presentation together with Armenian ambassador to the UAE Gegham Gharibjanian.
In Dubail members of the Armenian delegation had a series of f business meetings and reached agreements and signed memoranda understanding with foreign private companies. Ambassador Gharibjanyan also met with members of the Romanian delegation headed by the minister of economy of Romania Varuzhan Voskanyan.
The forum brought to Dubail representatives from 80 countries and 220 investment companies, representing agriculture, food processing, energy, chemical industry, banking, insurance, tourism, telecommunications, construction, mining and other sectors. -0-
