Armenia prepares new law on government procurement

Armenian Finance Minister Vahe Hovhannisyan told a Cabinet meeting today that drafting a new law on public procurement has been started at the beginning of 2024.

YEREVAN, February 1. /ARKA/. Armenian Finance Minister Vahe Hovhannisyan told a Cabinet meeting today that drafting a new law on public procurement has been started at the beginning of 2024.
"A few days ago, the Ministry of Finance sent letters to all relevant ministries and other government agencies requesting that they submit their observations and proposals. In the near future, we will start extensive discussions with both government agencies and public organizations," he said.
According to the minister, the current law is no longer in line with the current level and volume of public procurement. -0-
