Armenia’s consumer prices in January-May 2021 grew by 5.5% compared to same period in 2020- NSC says

YEREVAN, June 25. /ARKA/. Armenia’s consumer prices in January-May 2021grew by 5.5% compared to the same period in 2020, according to the National Statistical Committee (NSC).
It said consumer prices in May 2021, compared to May 2020, were up 5.9%, and down 0.4% compared to April 2021.
According to the NSC, the price index of industrial goods in January-May 2021 compared to the same period in 2020 increased by 9%. In May 2021 compared to May 2020, prices for manufactured goods were up 12.5% and 1% compared to April 2021.
Also, electricity production in January-May 2021 increased by 2% compared to the same period last year to 3.310 billion kWh. In May 2021, compared to May 2020, it decreased by 3.1%, and compared to April 2021 it dropped by 12.9%.
Armenia’s economic activity in the first five months of 2021 grew by 4.3% compared to the same period in 2020, the National Statistical Committee (NSC) said today.
It said compared to May 2020, the economic activity in May 2021 was up by 10.9%, and compared to April 2021 it was up by 2%. -0-
